and they in turn can point out venezuela, bolivia, haiti and a few others as prime examples of how the US brings 'democracy' and 'freedom' to foreign lands.

i've said it to you before, and i'll say it again, i'll eat my words about the Bush Administration when we have left that country and they are voting and electing people on their own accord... untill then it just looks like another puppet regime in a long line, set up by america, for america's interests abroad, and not the iraqi peoples'.

time will tell i guess...

And whether or not the Iraqis screw up their chance at freedom will ultimately rest on their own shoulders. But our efforts and blood haven't been in vain. These people are finally being given a chance at liberty they've never had.

I hope they do a better job at it than we did when we were first starting out.


Gravatar Our blood wasn't in vain, but it certainly isn't the reason the vast majority of Americans supported the invasion, or excuses the Bush Admins lack of communication with the American public about what we're doing there, and what our plan is.
