we've had upwards of 12" of rain here in NOVA area last few days.
might I suggest putting your letters in a bottle and letting them float in?
Except for the "butt" part, there is nothing in those letters I would not have written. I like your straightforward style. Although the powers that be will likely not actually read them, perhaps they'll be read by an aide and, if enough like them are received, something done.

Glad you liked 'em. My hope is that if someone reads the letter, the word "butt" might make the letter stand out enough to pass it along. I just hope they don't pass it to the IRS. 
Even if neither letter is read at all, I hope at least President Bush and Attorney Gen. Gonzales will see the public's disgust with this situation and will act to punish this despicable act by the NYT (and hopefully forestall future leaks).
