i liked the Obama one better, i dont think the military should be cheering a president, its unprofessional. I liked the fact that all the Marines stood at attention when the song came as is correct for military customs. Marines should be professional soldiers and not seem like political activists.
Those guys in anbar shouldn't have been allowed to behave like that, it makes it look like a prep rally
So they see Bush as a peer, suitable for whistling and stomping, and Obama as the Commander in Chief, deserving of "sober" respect.
And of course you know the Bush audience was hand-picked and screened to death. Bush is such a cowardly little shit, it's a wonder they didn't spit on him.

Wind, you are full of wind, the hot air empty rhetoric variety. Calling Bush a coward displays your ignorance, the guy flew around the world to visit troops, was public in the face of terror , dedicated to ending Saddam's insane regime. Not to mention he flew and landed on an Aircraft carrier, save your coward comments for someone deserving of that label please. You want to criticize Bush for other stuff, go right ahead, but can the coward talk.
joe, were you a Marine? If not, why should I try to dignify your comment with a response, and if you were a Marine, you would know the position of parade rest vs. attention. Translation, Obama demanded and ordered the respect, whereas Bush offered respect to his troops to let them stand at Parade Rest - a Marine would understand the differences.
IMHO, all of you are wrong in your analysis of the behavior of these men and women.
What I believe you're seeing is the difference between troops in a combat zone and those in garrison.
OTOH, there really is no reason for which disciplined Marines would cheer someone who has done nothing for them nor with them. Bush on the other hand did what it took to get the response he did - everywhere he went. He shamelessly supported our troops and the mission for which they enlisted and the job they did - this is not something common among politicians of the other party.
