Thank you! I am 30 this year and has struggled with this passage for years. It always seem extremely odd and dangerous (considering the time) for a woman to take such action. Especially, being an alien to the land and customs of Israel. It was always said it was a custom of the day, but a custom just didn't fit the cultural context and situation. Now I finally get it
