I haven't actually seen the book; just the cover. So not sure why there are pictures of Jesus in there. I believe she attends a presbyterian church of some other variety now, having married and moved to Chicago.

I think Jared Olivetti has a children's Bible picture book that doesn't have any pictures of Jesus... But I might be misremembering.

Thanks for an honest review! I saw this book recommended on other blogs and was tempted but now I think I'll give it a miss for the above reasons

The book is perhaps worth having if you are reading from other bibles to your kids. If you are biblically literate enough, you can tweak it as you go along. I lkike to have several bibles to read from - and just read through one, and then take another so they get teh same stories but a different emphasis.
