i guess that I was fortunate in that, my Father was Luteran, my mother Anglican, I was baptized in the United Church, went to an Interdenominational Christian University and married a Catholic. I learned early on that the differences among Christians are pretty insignificant in the grand scale.
Yet I have a Pentacostal minister Uncle who is convinced I'm going to hell because I don't belong to his church.

Very sobering words that tragically manifests itself from time to time... I've been digesting all things (select) Eastern Religions (because of my own context) since this past winter and I've found that their histories are littered with the same people dynamics as is Christianity. Ironically, despite the window dressing of such themes as e.g. "compassion", the same types of dirty laundry can be found there too - the good, the bad, the ugly...
