We too have a similar situation in Tollywood (for tollygunje where all the main studios are in West Bengal). In the land of Ray, Mrinal Sen, ritwik ghatak, we had fine directors who made quality commercial movies and we enjoyed these as much as those of the great masters'. But of late the quality has detoriated so much that we hardly ever bother. But these movies (really bad copies of the singing, fighting, dancing in the rain bollywood movies) still do brisk business.

I think in urban areas of West Bengal Hindi and English movies dominate the Theatres. Much like Bangladesh, the rural cinema viewers are also the targets of industry. Thats why the Bengali movies tend to deliver gross entertainment targeting the low-educated working class. But the cinema producers should come out of the notion that they are not the audiences for classic films.
Unlike other arts (Theatre, classical music) where there is a history of creating viewership or listeners through educating them and enchanting them with quality entertainment, the cinema industry never tried that. It is all due to commercialism. Most of the producers here are not creators, they are just petty businessmen who never have the passion of the art and risk their money on some great endeavours.

The moron would be the one who have the faintest of heart in not exposing himself.
The facts are not made up by somebody's mind, they are qutoed from news sources (if you can read it correctly).
If you have something to say start your own blog and say.
I would welcome any criticism about my writing but won't tolerate using derogative words. Criticism is an art please learn it before blurting out anything only you imagine.
It is true that people like you show signs of typical negative Bengalis who are jealous about fellow countrymens' achievements and efforts and would do anything to stop them going ahead of you.
