In the first place, the 1/11 change for the Army take-over, Emergency and an unconstitutional "Care-Taker Government" backed by the Army of Bangladesh was the idea of the USA and its European allies. The principal actors who had orchestrated this devilish drama were US Ambassadors in Bangladesh Mary Peters and Harry K. Thomas, ably supported by the UK High Commissioner in Bangladesh Anwar Chowdhury and the EU diplomats from the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark- the Group of Four, as they used to be called at the time!
Harry K. Thomas is now in charge of all US global diplomatic administration at the Pentagon and Mary Peters has been assigned to Iraq! The current US Ambassador James F. Moriarty has come to Bangladesh from the troubled spot of Lebanon! What a conicidence of US presence in Bangladesh: Pentagon-Iraq-Lebanon- all these smelling further trouble brewing in Bangladesh. Add to that the Indo-American design on China where Bangladesh fits in as a corridor and passage for the "Dogs of War" with the possibility of the US 7th Fleet using the harbour/port of Chittagong, a long-standing demand by the USA.
"Elections" - my foot. Democracy? Damn Democracy. Iraq has US-style Democracy. So will Bangladesh,- that is what Us Assistant Secretary of State Richard A Boucher has probably ben advocating. Iraq and Afghanistan have Nuri Al-Maleki and Hamid Karzai respectively, and no wonder Bangladesh may also similarly have a puppet in place for the stage-managed "road-map" for "Democracy" US style. Have you forgotten how Bush came to power in the first place through Jeb Bush's Election in Florida? Has one forgotten Bush's "Doctrine of Necessity"?
BANGLADESH AND ITS "DEMOCRACY" ARE OPERATING UNDER BUS'S "DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY", propounded publicly by the Chief Election Commissioner Dr. A.T.M. Shamsul Huda. For the records, since his retirement from the Civil Service in 1996, Dr. A.T.M. Shamsul Huda had been on the pay roll of USAID in various capacities such as Consultant, Adviser, et cetera, until he has been managed to be propped up as the Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh. More interestingly, and coincidentally, current Chief Adviser of the Government Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed had been a long-term employee of the World Bank as had been Dr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam, the Finance Adviser: a potent recipe for disaster and doom for Bangladesh.
