I couldn't believe the AP article in the OC Register Sunday that was considered 'news'. Joan Lowy wrote an article based on the Watergate tapes. The headline was "Fred Thompson Aided Nixon on Watergate". The key sentence in this article: "He comes across as a partisan willing to cooperate with the Nixon White House's effort to discredit the committee's star witness". I'd say that based on this article, Joan Lowy comes across as a partisan willing to discredit Fred Thompson. See:
