The GOP needs to make a stronger national security argument about the need to drill for oil, not just about energy independence.
Fifty-six percent (56%) of Americans say they are not willing to pay more in taxes and utility costs to generate cleaner energy and fight global warming.
...But 41% disagree and say developing cleaner, greener energy sources is the priority.
These are unrelated since they're taken from 2 different statements. This leaves only 3% which makes me think there's overlap in these stats. Like most things in life, people want it fixed but don't want to pay for it.
