christian -- I will NEVER pose my transcripts -- that is too personal. There are stuff on the transcripts that I do not want to share with the world. But certainly not the GPA. Only few knew the truth -- and they saw my GPA. It's not that bad. Maybe I can scan a part of my transcript just to shut the phony one up.

i wear glasses and im a blogger. i've written a few posts on glasses, but mostly on topical and cultural stuff. i could not justify demanding a "blogs with glasses" catergory.

Phil03, you obviously have very little knowledge of how intensive the community of deaf people, and how important Ridor's blog is to us, among others. First of all, you actually compared wearing glasses to being deaf. WTF? there is NO comparison. Second, there are PLENTY of deaf issues that are addressed on this blog, and MOST of the people profiled/talked about on this blog ARE deaf people. Of course, you wouldn't realize that, because, geez, they have to be all hearing, right?

If deaf people see the world as broken, why consider that a separate (much less superior) culture? If hearing people can never understand how bad it is for deaf people, then why do deaf parents want to have deaf children?
These questions have to be answered consistently...

I'm not bitter, disheartened yes. Ask more questions before you slam. Everyone goes through a phase of bitterness, a natural cycle of human emotions. We all have to make a decision to climb out of the bitterness well. It's a given to be able to balance this out with a sense of humor. Some people are able to laugh along with tears, some are not. One of the best coping mechanism is to be able to laugh and see humor in the worse situations.
I don't 'hate' all hearings as you assumed. Hate is a strong word, it saps energy. I prefer to say I dislike those who don't try to listen and don't make an effort to get to layer that lies beneath pain.
Common sense: under anger is pain. How/why did pain start in the first place?
Don't assume I haven't done anything for the Deaf community. You're gravely wrong there, my work is not completed.

The world isn't broken. But the world is geared towards straight white men. (Is any other kind ever president?) We don't think life as Deaf people is a bad experience. We find much to recommend it. I suppose Black people do. Gay people certainly do, as I see pretty much every night in New York City. Deaf parents want to have Deaf children for the same reason any parent wants to have children like themselves. Some people go for race, some people for Deafness, some people for artistic talent.

First off, let me clear up that the piece of post your quoted was not written by me, however you handled it very well.
Joseph, thank you. First, thank you for responding seriously. Minus a few mumbles in the middle, your post was overall oscenity free and respectable.
Second, thank you for letting me know the real truth about Ridor, who I assume is Ricky. I find it very noble that you defend him as a friend, despite his shortcomings and will stand up for him always.
Third, the only thing I wanted Ridor to answer for was his original hatred filled comments to those who never said a word to him, and for him to justify that he deserves a special catergory at the Weblog Awards, which I and many others believe he has failed to do. I know that this is beyond him, so I don't really expect it.
Fourth, I appriacte your willingness to answer any other questions about Ricor, this blog, or deaf culture I may have had, but I have none.
Fifth, I know I've been a dick to you guys as well. I can't say that I'm truely sorry, but at the least, I wish I would have not been as harsh as I was (or attempted to be).
Sixth, I'm in no way anti-deaf or anti-gay. I'm anti-jerk, and Ricor just flipped the wrong switches.
