People who worked in factories kept them running. They have had a really hard time. There are stories of success and failure. If you are going to write about Argentina in relation to Obama, look deeper into Argentina babes.

Argentina used to be a first world nation with a standard of living and per capita income equal to or greater than western european nations. Their problems began with Peron, long long before the IMF existed. They screwed themselves up, blaming the IMF is risable.
Money was taken away from everyone. The banks shut babes. You should read about Argentina if you are going to write about it.

Think about that statement for a moment. Think. Argentina has been screwed up for more than a decade. Argentina has been messed up since before WWII. Yes, teh IMF did not help them, but the IMF doesn't get involved with healthy economies. The IMF trie to 'help' countries that are already screwed up beyond belief.
What you are saying, Dave, is that "The IMF messed up the Argentine economy". What I am saying is that Argentina was ALREADY screwed up. You are missing cause and effect. The cause of Argentine woes is Argentine policies of socialist planning. The IMF came later.

The IMF had a hand in crashing the economy for millions of ordinary people. they said so. The banks took money away from people who worked really hard for it. One of the solutions the argentinians are trying is runnung their own economy collectively. the Argentines were sadled with a HUGE arms debt run up by dictators who were supported from first world countries. After the second world war MY country never paid them for huge amounts of corned beef which kept my predecesors alive.
I am not making this a left right thing. I have been totally sick to death of left right for a very very long time. The IMF should be an organisation which helps. It doesn't. Not in Jamaica, not in any south American country. Enough ex IMF people have said this for me to believe it to be true.
