The leaders of the Rebolution happen to have lots of friends on HSD (a homeschool debate site). 
So much for the sabbatical.
I'm voting every day, but I've only got access to one computer so I don't know how much good I'm doing.
Rightwingsparkle--I thought I should tell you that, no, homeschoolers don't "live for their computer," but we do support each other fiercely. There's a sense of loyalty to other homechoolers, and to people unashamed to be different from the rest of the culture. And, no, the Rebelution is not the only site we're allowed on! It's just one of our favorites cause they post incredible stuff for two 17 yo boys. Wouldn't you agree?
And, yes, I know you were just kidding--but in the heat of competition i wanted you to understand us a little better! Good luck and God bless!

I have had many friends who homeschooled their kids and even considered doing it myself, but chose a conservative Catholic School instead.
I have even taken my teenagers to hear the Rebelution's brother speak.
So I totally understand the boys and would probably be supporting them except they are up against ME and I was stupid enough to go on Sabbatical not knowing I would be nominated.

A blogger in another class could sure use some help though. Steven at angry in the great white north risked prosecution and persecution earlier this year by posting the daily happenings of the Gomery comissions investigation of corruption by the governing liberal party in Canada, he's currently in second lpace in the best canadian blog, down by over 300 votes. With the help of Ed Morrisy at Captains Quarters, Steven was able to keep the Canadian public informed of what the Martin government wanted to be secret hearings. The upcomming elections in Canada are the product of the work and risks people like Steve at AGWN took. I think he deserves our help to get a little recognition for himself.

Though I am a reader of (and voter for) the Rebelution, I don't want to get caught up in the spirit of competition and forget that God warns against comparing ourselves with others, but instead tells us to compare ourselves to His standard in the Bible. He wants each one of us to run the race of life in such a way that each one of us, individually, may win. So even if you don't "win" in the Wizbang awards, I hope you are a winner in the Biblical sense.

This is all in good fun. Anyone who reads my blog regularly knows that.
Winning would be nice, but all is fair in love and war and The Rebelution caught me with my defenses down (not blogging) and they have a lot of firepower so to speak.
So, more power to them. If they can turn kids towards God then THAT is all that matters.
Anyone who wants to do some counter voting might consider voting for anyone but Army of Mom in the Best of 5001 + category. She is the same woman calling Cotillion member Beth of VWRC a B**** on labkat.com and who previously did the same on her blog (angry she wasn't selected for the Cotillion.) Please vote daily for anyone but her - my suggestion being 2nd place Mazurland (a nice group of brothers running a good blog.)

Yeah sorry for any bad comments done by other people (Who might not even be homeschooled). Just don't think teeagers are mean and out to be critical all the time. Especially The Harris boys. They have a great blog, and from the looks of it so do you. But if the Rebelution does win they sure have earned it.
When I get back from the Holiday madness I am going to read through their blog for sure!

It's ironic that one thing the Rebelution focuses on, is that people need to get out and do something. Particularly homeschoolers, who have the tendancy (or I do, at least) to view themselves as safe, awesome people, just because they're homeschooled!
The Rebelution fights hardest at the presuppositions about homeschoolers and homeschooling, and encourages teens of all education methods to be world changers, and 'rebelutionaries'.
I love it!
And considering how well you've done in this competition, I think I'll read through a bit of your blog, RWS.

When I went to Rebelution's site and read that some of their supporters were leaving "mean-spirited" messages, I was shocked and appalled.
But I was pleased to see Alex and Brett were honorable enough to offer an apology and ask their supporters to do the same.
Sparkle, if you are going to lose the award, at least the winners are good bloggers and good people.
