Thank you for writing about Honduras. I was born in Honduras and was there one month ago. My maternal relatives live in Honduras and are horrified that an America president has thrown them under the bus.
Honduras is a beautiful country with wonderful people. Honduras supported USA and Ronald Reagan during the fight against the Sandanistas during the 1980s.
Now, Honduras needs USA and Obama is afraid to upset his "amigo", Hugo Chavez.
Makes you wonder if he's not speaking out against this as he has the same plans to get rid of the 22nd amendment after 2 terms…
I have written a couple of times about Honduras....from the beginning it has been portrayed as something that it is not by the msm and this administration.
Really. Who is this new guy? Who are his sponsors?
While one can certainly make a good case for Obama's ignorance, I fear that things are worse than we imagine. Obama may very well just be acting out his core values in supporting murderous communist dictators. These are the people whose ideology he shares. These are the people which whom he is comfortable. He has studied their ideas for decades, and is now in the position of being able to enact them on a dramatic scale.
Remember, it took him days to decide not to give even lip service support to Iranians struggling against a government that has been killing Americans for decades, but he was able to immediately, without thinking, offer support to Castro, Chavez and the like.
Weep for America indeed.

President Roberto Micheletti was the President of the National Congress of Honduras. According to the Honduran Constitution he was first in line to the presidency and took office after Zelaya was removed by the Congress and Supreme Court. Just like in the United States when the Vice President becomes President, he will serve the remainder of Zelaya's term. He and Zelaya were both members of the Liberal Party of Honduras.
Micheletti's "sponsors" are the Congress and people of Honduras who wanted to see their constitution respected and defended instead of abused by a Chavezite and defiled by an illegal referendum with ballots printed by "Hugo's Printing and Election Guarantee Service."
Of course Obama doesn't want to "meddle" in Iran's internal affairs. After all, the people there who are protesting their falsely "elected" government just want freedom.
But give Obama a Marxist to support like the ousted chump in Honduras, and naturally Obama will rally to help a fellow-traveler. Hopefully the US military would refuse to follow Obama's orders should he order the military to restore the commie in Honduras.

Yeah, Kev but I bet we don't know what is going on in Honduras. It is usually shady American capitalists who are the movers behind coups in South America. People who want to charge the population for their own water or other such greedy monkeys so I remain skeptical.
Sparkle EVERY member of the Orgaganization of American States (OAS) and Every European coubntry has come out strongly against this takeover of Honduras by the military. Sparkle can you name ONE country that supports this military coup ?

Or in this case "shady Venezuelan statist dictators". Again - the people have won this one and a coup was prevented. Why is this hard for people to grasp?

’s subjects in a weakened nation in a dangerous World that will eventually grind us into dust. The next elections are in 2010.
