Speaking of the passport story, I watched some political shows the night that story broke and they looked all giddy, thinking they could now change the subject from Rev. Wright and play up Obama as a victim, etc. etc. You could just see it in their eyes. EJ Dionne, the liberal columnist was demanding an investigation of this "troubling" story, etc. etc. (blah, blah, blah)
Ooops, the next day the story was completely different. You could almost hear the collective groan of the liberal media. Are these people transparent, or what? Too funny.

My opposition to Obama is unrelated to my still strong opposition to McCain. I still haven't found anything to make me flee onto the McCain train, and my vote is still going to a yet to be decided upon third party.

I hate to admit, but the story is old and Hugh Hewitt is right, Mac is the GOP nominee. All he has to do is pick the right VP (Romney) and emphasize the war and those issues that will keep most conservatives in the fold and attract independents and smart Democrats (Joe Liberman). I know, it is a tall order for the maverick, but he can not be the maverick for he is now the party leader. So, I think old stories that have been beaten like the party switch need to be ignored at this point.
