Gravatar While I don't doubt Al Qaeda believes that a declared war on the United States of America (the strongest country in the world with a military budget which is over 45% of the entire world's budget), the main question I have is why did anyone in the U.S. believe that they were a threat to overpower us?

Which Americans believe that Manhattan was invaded on September 11, 2007. Two buildings and the surrounding areas in Manhattan were attacked by suicide bombers who used aircraft as their weapons. An appropriate response to that attack would have been to round up those responsible (even tangentially) and insure they were brought to justice, no?

It is now six years later, and we are discussing how best to police a civil war which has a large percentage of the United States Military engaged or at least occupied.

I don't think Osama necessarily is a madman, but I also don't think he ever in his wildest dreams could have thought the attacks in Manhattan would have worked out so well for him.

Gravatar You think? I'm sure they'd define an invasion the same as you would. They define it as retaliation no?

Gravatar Yup, jandrew, these have been the most fun 6 years of his life.
