OT, sorry, but Sparkle, why do you refer to yourself as being on a RELUCTANT pro-life journey?
Life begins at conception as you know. We're a collection of cells regardless of whether we're an embryo, fetus, young child, adult or over a 100yrs old.
I like the banner but disappointed by the words.

Very poignant and touching Sparkle. Thx.
One of my experiences w/a nursing home was when I was in Topeka, KS visiting my grandmother. I did her a favor by delivering some sewing she had done. The lady was so appreciative that she broke down and cried. She was just happy she got some attention. Of course, all I could do was be kind & hold my emotions in until I left. We guys aren't allowed to show emotion. It was one hardest & proudest moments of my life.

Getting closer to my OT, a life begins at conception, period. I realize ppl try to say, well it's just a bunch o cells or it's undeveloped, but that's no excuse. We're all a bunch of cells during our entire life STARTING at conception. Not being fully developed is no excuse either, it's a part of life. Ppl need to be educated.
The other excuse is, well, it's my body. Fine, but by killing a child you're destroying someone else's body, not yours. Besides, what were you doing w/your body to conceive the child in the 1st place?
I swear to God, what the Nazis did will pale in comparison to this abotion nightmare.

Hey Sparkle,
Please explain how this does not reek of hypocrisy:

Well, that's easy. Sarah doesn't whine about the media coverage. If you actually listened to what she said in the speech and in the recent interview with Fox News she says specifically that she expected the media to be tough and she has no problem with that, its not the media, its the attacks on her children from the leftwing and lawsuits that are filed for no other reason than to wear her down. Comedians who make jokes about raping her daughter. Leftwing sites that photoshop an alien face on her baby trig. That sort of thing. She has ever right to complain. she has to be the strongest woman I have ever met.

BigDog,
I'm thinking more than an icepack & a pillow is needed.
The truth hurts ppl who are uninformed & refuse to be informed.

the tree in the front of my house is very alive and it is a bunch of cells...my cat is a bunch of cells...
from a biological point of view, yes, life starts at conceptions...those cells are very much alive otherwise they wouldn't divide and multiply...
so, if you and I are a bunch of cells, and my cat is a bunch of cells, and the tree in the fronf of my house is a bunch of cells, then it must be something else that defines us as humans like higher cognitive abilities that my cat or my tree don't have..
an embryo is NOT considered a PERSON from a legal point of view...
umm, Sparkle has said this too...that the mother and the embryo/fetus are two different "people"...umm, is it? I'll lay my argument like for a 2nd grader: if Sparkle drinks a glass of wine right at this moment, her children won't have to drink wine too, if she uses cocain, if she gets upset etc etc, her children won't have to do it...now, consider a pregnant woman: she smokes, the fetus will have nicotine in his blood; she drinks, the fetus will have alcohol in his blood; she gets upset the fetus will experience unrest etc etc...so the actions of the mother will affect the fetus DIRECTLY! the mother and the fetus really are ONE single person untill the fetus is viable and can SURVIVE ON ITS OWN!!! if those cells were created in vitro and the embryo, then the fetus grew up in a petri dish or glass (but not in a womb) to become a person then and only then you could say that the baby is a different person (from a biological point of view).
The implications of a mother and fetus being 2 different people are very wide. I.e: it is illegal to give a 1 month or 1 year or 10 year old child alcohol, right? Well, then if the mother and the baby are 2 different people, then it should be ILLEGAL for a pregnant woman to drink; it should be ILLEGAL for a pregnant woman to smoke; if a mother doesn't feed her 1 year old baby the right thing the baby will become malnourished; well, if the mother and the fetus are 2 different people then the social services should impose by law that pregnant woman have the fetus checked regurarly by a doctor to make sure that the mother takes in the proper (amount of) nutrients etc etc. If a woman is seen in a restaurant giving alcohol to her 2 year old baby, the baby would probably end up taken by the social services and the mother would probably end up in jail, right? If a pregnant woman is seen drinking then the same things should happen to her: take away her fetus and throw her in jail, right? cause the mother and the fetus are 2 different people
oh, and please don't say that if a pr

the last part of the comment didn't fit...
anyways, just wanted to say that I hope you won't deny the fact that the drugs, alcohol, and smoking doesn't cross the placenta into the fetus body...that fact has been proved by science
