Gravatar “We send our congratulations to Governor Sarah Palin and her family on her designation as the Republican nominee for Vice President,” they said in a statement. “It is yet another encouraging sign that old barriers are falling in our politics. While we obviously have differences over how best to lead this country forward, Governor Palin is an admirable person and will add a compelling new voice to this campaign.”

-Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Say what you want about them but these tow showed a lot of class with that statement

Gravatar clever photoshop rws. I can tell you must like puzzles. Now remove your "ver" and replace it with "8" and put "20" before everything so you get 20O8 ;^) There, looks better.

Gravatar Love it! Can I grab it ?

Gravatar Yes, Obama/Biden are showing a lot of class. And I doubt they will be trying to steal the spotlight next week to quite the same level as McCain did here. Sure, McCain said he was going to withhold the name of his vp pick until today to allow Obama to have his time in history. But this was only after first threatening to do it. Only at the last minute did he tell the press he was not going to do it. And his timing to name Palin today was for what reason then? They were the ones who first threatened to name Palin last night. I hope you people see through this McCain setup to make himself somehow look gracious while at the same time butting into a historical week as much as possible. Obama/Biden will not be silent next week, but they are of a different thread altogether and will not be selfishly vicious like McCain's campaign.

Gravatar Heh heh. O ver. Is that Times New Roman font with the Obama O font? How did you do that?

Gravatar Yep, I guess we should just give up, now that you've selected such an amazing vice presidential candidate! Hahhah! Seems like you're gloating awfully early, aren't you? I think it was a bold pick, but is it going to help you win the handful of states you need to win though? I don't know. Maybe she'll bring the theocons out in droves. We'll see. You would have been ecstatic about any of the veep picks I think, except maybe Ridge or Lieberman, so I'm taking your over-enthusiasm with a pound of salt.

Gravatar Well, Erik old boy, I like the pick too. I'd been planning on skipping the top of the ticket this year, but now McCain gets it without a doubt.

Then it's on to President Palin in '12 and '16.

Maybe Howard Dean will start grooming Chelsea for '20...

Gravatar The best part of this is watching, listening to, and reading the left's response to McCain's choice for VP. You'd think someone kicked their puppy. Every left leaning talking head I've seen today on the major cable channels and MSNBC has been a stuttering mess. They've no idea what to say. Hence the silly personal attacks.

Believe me, I'm no McCainiac and this choice does nothing to make me rethink my opinions of him. I'm still not on the McCain train Sparkle! I do, however, think Palin has a bright political future and was a very good pick for the VP slot. The reaction from the liberals proves that.

Gravatar Jo, YES! But I got it from Chris Muir and he got it from someone else!

Gravatar Chris said I could just use it. I didn't do it.

Paul, umm.. that wasn't the first statement. Let me go find it.

Gravatar Here is the first:

Barack Obama's campaign is blasting John McCain for putting "the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency."

The scathing description of Sarah Palin, from Obama spokesman Bill Burton, comes as Democrats scramble to gather a response to a selection that nobody in the political world expected.

"Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies — that's not the change we need, it's just more of the same," added Burton.

Not so classy.

Gravatar Palin is a good choice. She is more experienced than Obama is, especially as an executive. The virtues of Palin have been iterated elsewhere, but I like her best for this particular reason:

Palin shames all these girly-men politicians. The ones who cry and become emotional inappropriately in public. Its not just pathetic, its contemptable. This woman hunted bears as a teen. Woot!

Seriosuly, does she have a sister? niece? Throw me a bone here. :-P

Gravatar Yes, fresh out of the bag the Obama team knocked McCain's pick. Right after McCain's nice congrats for him yesterday.

Someone must have pointed out that this was a PR disaster for him. Oops, better make another statement.

What a fraud! However I love it when they eat humble pie.

Gravatar Uh, Paul, this "classy" statement was his SECOND one. You know, after they were embarrassed by the first non-classy one.

Why is Paul always a day late and a dollar short?

Lol.

Gravatar BigDog, well apparently her sister has just had a nasty divorce.

Go for it!

Gravatar I WISHED that we in the not-so Golden State had Sarah Palin as OUR governor instead of Gov. Benedict Arnold Schwarzenegger! BTW, that is a really great one-OVER!
