I agree, Mrs. McCain is a class act. I think that she gets some bum rap because she is the second Mrs. McCain. I do not want to go into that history. I am afraid that somehow, the Obama camp will do that all on their own. What I admire is the fact like President Bush, she has overcome a serious adiction. She, like the president, does not make a big deal about it, but it was a part of who she is and it is wonderful to see that. Also, her willingness, and yes, Sen. McCain's as well, to adopt a child from Bangaladesh is amazing. I think she will make a terrific first lady. Now about her husband. . .oh, for another day

Read the Newsweek article. It's a good look at her. She really is great I think. And they explain a bit about the first Mrs. McCain.
Sometimes marriages don't work. Especially when they have been through trama. I think both of them agree with that. If the former Mrs. McCain had dissed him in the past, I would think less of McCain, but she never has. Anyone who has been a part of or witnessed a terrible divorce knows that good is never said afterward. It says a great deal to me that his ex-wife supports him for President. She even has sticker on her car!

Oh, I do not want you to think that I am judging the current McCain marriage at all. No, you are correct about the horrors of divorce. My wife was divorced, so believe me, I am very understanding. My point was that the sleaze bucket that Sen. Messiah Barack and his team are, they will dig and dig deep. Just ask Dan Ryan, who should have been the senator from Illinois. BTW, the Left Angeles Times did a real hit piece on Mrs. McCain today. I have it linked on my site. Just remember, we will not see ANY hit pieces on Mrs. Obama!

Cindy is a beautiful woman who was nwas a drug addict and stole from her own charity. I'm all for "getting tough on crime" but only tough on people who are not rich or married to Senators.
Being a sister of someone who has struggled with addiction makes me understand what Cindy went through. But I'm just one of those silly compassionate conservatives, not a "tolerant" leftie, like yourself.
I have yet to see the Obama campaign, try to float anything about Cindy McCain and her drug addiction to narcotics or her not-worked-for money. When I scan your "Blog Links" I see it has a rogue's gallery of right-wing smear-mongers.
When your right-wing commentors attribute smear tactics to the Obama campaign, they are perpetuating a lie.
Most voters are utterly weary of, and unfortunately more cynical because of, the right-wing's smear/attack formulae for "winning" arguments or campaigns.

In not bothering to acknowledge what most English-speaking Americans understand as the nuances in the Michelle Obama "pride" statement, you illustrate effectively why most voters are tired of the right-wing's childish understanding of the subtle shades of meaning in American English. The same subtle shades can be found in the former Mrs. McCain's statement about her ex-husband.

Is it true that Michael 'Jabba the Jowls' Moore bought it for them? Now that's socialism! How come Cindy and Mac never got a dream house from the Hollyweirdos?
So he was an alcoholic and he never tried coke? That sounds a bit far fetched some how.
