But we all know McCain listens to no one...
You say that like it's a virtue...

And please, please, please! Do not let him pick Bobby Jindal. I want Jindal to remain unsullied by a McCain candidacy or administration. He just needs to stay in the Governor's office for the next four to eight years and keep his head down. Jindal 2012!

I've thought all along he should anounce early. Stealing some of Abama's thunder is not all bad either. But the right pick could give his candidacy a pulse.

Well, RWS and all, get ready for McCain/Romney '08. Yes, I know, the DDBMSM will bring out the infamous Mormon card that may, I stress, may have jettisoned Mr. Romney's chances. But, really is there anyone else? The Rev. Mike? Maybe if McCain is going for the Christian Socialist vote. Rudy? He could not win a primary or caucus. Way overblown by the same DDBMSM. Fred? Did not do well when he was campaigning for the job himself. Ron Paul? Yea, right! The Mitt Man, and Sen. McCain will be just like Reagan/Bush in the 80s. And Kev, I share your angst about Bobby Jindal, but in a different way. I want him to finish this term and run for reelection. He should win in a landslide and set himself up for the presidency on his own merit, also like Ronald Reagan.

That's what I want Jinal to do too, Mark. And he needs to stay as far away from McCain as possible to keep from damaging that merit. He could also do well to begin setting himself apart as true conservative during what will most assuredly be McCain's "progressive" administration.
