Becky, it's proper to see the old truths revived. A talk last by year by one well known UofTexas historian said much the same; for him, history remains a story. We moderns thus validate what Homer wrote (nice of us), Virgil, what was produced by the composers of the Arthur and Roland cycles; and so on. So Our civilization, for what it's worth, has agreed with theirs. That's good. |
