I am really sad to see that Boorstin has been tainted. The nerve!

I already had "Lies My Teacher Told Me" on a wish list but with only the reviews from Amazon I wasn't in a hurry to get it. Having blown my book budget already this year I think I'll go ahead and make a request at my local library for it.
