this is certainly going to be one of the big issues of the next 5-10 years.
the article was right. suburban governments were not set up to serve the poor. they are going to need to go through a huge operational transition.
suburbs ARE a GREAT place to locate homeless shelters & social services. Quit burdening city neighborhoods with these institutions of blight & decay.Then maybe in the future VOLUNTEERS from DC can go out to FAIRFAX and help out in a shelter. Think of it........
