This is much more well thought out than the crap the DC City Paper highlighted in its music blog not too long ago. That song was just racist baiting with zero intelligence behind it.
The thing is, if you listen to what these people want it's not too different than what the typical "gentrifier" wants, but the second- and third-wave, if you will, change that around completely. Once somebody comes up with a way that prevents that from happening (which won't happen), this will stop. But that won't happen. The entitlement crowd always comes in, given time.
Until then, nobody can stop me from living where I want to live, so long as I can afford it. Telling me I can't live in the city because I can't afford the more expensive neighborhood but am not of the right kind for the poorer neighborhood is unacceptable from many points.
