Blumenauer is a real German- in other words- he bikes, walks, loves rail and transit, seldom drives .... Not like these phony as*holes such as the previous Md Governor Erlich- all cars and airports and screw everyone else.Mr B would be a godsend for this country.

"Mr B would be a godsend for this country."
If that's the case, why not put your money where your mouth is and lobby for his appointment?

Because I am not a lobbyist.
Everyone does what they can do as one sees fit.
As per his/her talents will take them.
I do not tell others what they should do or not do just because they have a particular opinion. That is one's personal business, not mine.
My problem with Blumenauer is that his bike share program for the Capitol area complex has placed the bicycles in the wrong spots and they are not used that much. It was badly planned.
But we could use a transit/ walkers/bicyclists agenda and less highway & airport focus. It seems like he has a clear voice.

w-
I didn't mean that literally. Everyone and anyone can be a lobbyist. You "lobby" all the time for your POV on this blog.
All I'm suggesting is that in addition to preaching to the choir here at UPAS, you take some outside action that might influence the positive outcome you seek.

point taken EE
Just mouthing off on this blog is also good as it kind of makes one focus one's thoughts . Making art is my game- not politics.
But then again- I do believe that this guy would be better than the dip sh*t that is running the Dept of T right now; she clearly does not want us to be energy independent.
