Re Traber, I keep reading that even if you have lefty specialist, he WILL be facing righties and HAS to be able to get them out.
I'm not ecstatic about the whole LOOGY idea, but when exactly did they pass this law? Is it de facto true for some reason I'm missing (other than the obvious innings drain of a pitcher who hardly pitches, which is why many of us appear to dislike the LOOGY concept in the first place)?
I suspect Traber will last until June, by when he'll be replaced by the first of a number of auditioners including Chase Wright, a few waivers castoffs and some AAAA pitchers. The Yankees will go into the playoffs (knock wood) without a loogy, as last year.
It's a matchup thing, can't say i loooove to see it but it's beter then ... Sean Henn. who sucks equally to guys on both side.
