A bit surprised that you weren't aware of the changes made since the events you described.

The Government introduced The Alberta Infection Prevention and Control Strategy, the Alberta Hand Hygiene Strategy, and four provincial IPC standards in January 2008. They are available to view at www.health.alberta.ca.
