Maybe the Dingo Ate Your Speech
This is such a shame. There is so much stigma and misinformation out there that shitty closings like this are hurting way more than it could EVER help. When you take away a valid treatment option for people that truly want to get better, no one wins. Especially the people that are put back out on the street with no option but to return to the life they so desperately wanted to leave. I'm not naive. I realize that Methadone is not used by all in order to get well. I know that there are people that abuse that and sell it and whatnot just like with any other form of medication out there, but that does NOT take away the lives that it helps save and the families that it helps put back together. Like I said, this is a no win situation for ALL involved and it involves anyone and everyone in the community because like I said, they are forced back onto the street to a life that was supposed to be behind them. What a shame!!
