Well said. A brave, conscientious man like this deserves our greatest admiration.
Saw film last night. Very high quality, good statements by Ehren, but beware General Wesley Clark is no lawyer and in the film has his international law completely wrong. The Iraq war was illegal from day 1 under about 16 treaties, and the Afghanistan occupation was illegal from day 1. Personally I think both wars were illegal from day 1 but there is a good argument that the UN sanctioned the Afghan war before it began, unlike the Iraq war, which the UN surely did not despite 2 Bushco attempts to get UN pre-approval.
