I followed the link to the girl's shrapnel wound. If you listen to the whole piece you discover that she claims that the marines used grenades outside and inside the house and that's how she sustained the injury. The suggestion that her injury was somehow caused by the IED is irresponsible, since there is no proof at all that her family had anything whatsoever to do with the IED. Her injury was caused by a grenade, according to her.
Let's not rush to judgement, but let's not try to cast aspersions via guilt by (non-proven) association. That freeper seems to be a bit kool-aid addled if you ask me.

I allowed him to post a few of his intellectually flawed rants along with my responses at Mike's America before I pulled the plug.
It's pretty clear that folks like him are NOT serious about dealing honestly with the life and death issues we face and are more concerned with preening and parading their talking point delusions while wasting whatever time we might devote to educate them.
Some of our conservative friends feel that it is important to address the issues raised by these moonbats.
To that I say: We do and have addressed the specific points raised by these folks, in detail and at length, repeatedly through posts on the subjects which the moonbats claim as their primary concerns.
The time spent responding to moonbats is taken away from the time we spend researching, posting and exploring issues that are important.
Depending on the shrapnel it very well could be from a flash-bang device. Not an actual grenade. And the civvies would not know the difference.
MD - then that would confirm the report about the Marines responding to a threat as stated in the Time Magazine article.
