Gravatar Every time I see an outrageous story in the MSM, my first question is always "did it happen?"

They don't fact check. Too many stories along the line -- the story's true, even if the facts are wrong.

So, before I get outraged about anything, I always think "but did this really happen." And, with the internet, you can verify (or not).

Gravatar FrauBudgie - Welcome back dear friend. It made my heart soar to see your name pop up!

It's a shame that the media has disintegrated to this point. But thank goodness for the "alternative media"!

Gravatar Robin: You know the drill by now. Whether it's reports of a massacre at Haditha, or in Lebanon or the latest tragic attack in Iraq, the "report" gets spread all over the world in an instant.

Finding out later that things didn't quite happen that way get pushed to the back pages.

That old quote from Churchill sums it up: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

Despite declining readership, the lamestream media will continue to get away with murder.
