There's plenty I don;t understand, including your referral to men who shot women and children (whether illegally or not) as heroes. In my world, heroes don't shoot 4 year olds. Soldiers and Marines sometimes do because they were unlucky or in the heat of the moment they made a poor decision. They hare not, however, heroes.
As far as the investigation, it is also clear the fact that no Marine officer investigated the incident until the press started asking questions, means there isn't enough evidence to convict some of the gents involved (Sharrat's case was particularly weak). Not having the evidence because of a cover-up does not make what happened any less disgusting. Then, again, when you speak of partisan hacks, you must be looking in the mirror. You are angry at the New York Times and Rep Murtha, but at no time do you express remorse for the brutal and disgusting things that were done in your name, whether criminal or not.

tb - you need to check out sources other than albasrah and GI Special. You are buying into the propaganda and no better than Murtha.
Why should I have remorse? Sadness that the terrorists used women and children as human kevlar - yes. The terrorist were not acting in my name - maybe yours but certainly not mine.
The after action reports were reviewed up the chain of command well before McGirk went on his quest for war crimes. Try the facts for a change.

Then why did the Sgt plea, Robin, because he did nothing wrong?
Rather than get in the silliness of debating with a partisan with an agenda, why don't you focus on my point: calling people heroes for shooting kids is just plain stupid.

I think you have your facts mixed up. There were NO pleas in the Haditha cases. Not one.
The Marines were in a kill or be killed situation thanks to terrorists that used the women and children as human shields. War stinks and there are abundant tragedies in Iraq. But the Marines did not seek out the children to kill and didn't line them up and murder them. You are stupid if you can't admit the difference.
