I did two tours in Iraq including Fallujah in 2004. I know these types of things happened. I don't need to provide evidence to prove anyone because I was there. The shovel incident, things like that happened. Yes, they did. To understand this movie is to understand politics and the fog of war. Those of us who have experienced it, and who have been failed by our government and our leaders (including the Vietnam vets) understnad this. Those watching from the outside will never know...no matter how books or reports you read.

I was a Somalia Marine. It happens. Sh*t gets out of hand, fast. I'm just not stupid enough to tell someone who wouldn't understand. What happens on deployment should stay there. You try fighting for your life everyday at 19 and see how calm and rational you react. It was a pretty good movie. Too bad it'll be great for Al Queda recruiting.
