Gravatar Great presentation. Peace, love, and birds sounds good with all the war news that we get every day.

$18 for a three-day event sounds very good today, but I imagine that was relatively more expensive at the time. Any idea what that would be in 2006 dollars?

Gravatar Groovy. R&R, you guys did an awesome job!

Gravatar Just when I thought there couldn't be many more angles to introduce the carnival, this is a beauty.

Gravatar Wonderful trope and beautiful presentation. Thanks!

Gravatar Great job! Love the Birdstock idea.

Gravatar Great edition, Bums!

Gravatar I wondered why I heard Arlo Guthrie on the traffic report this morning shouting that the NYS Thruway is closed...

Birdstock rocks! Really, I feel like I just saw Jimi playing the Star Spangled Banner.

Gravatar far out! BirdStock- be there or be square
Great presentationl.

Gravatar Ooh, I know where I'll be this weekend! Thanks for the tickets! Guess I'll have to get my knapsack, lovebeads, and headband out of storage. Birdstock, here I come!

Gravatar Diggin' it.

Gravatar Standing ovation!

Gravatar Nice compilation of sites. I found this in the Washington post which gave me a chuckle thinking about drunk birds.

Birds Die From Flying 'Drunk' Into Windows

VIENNA, Austria -- Experts who conducted tests on 40 songbirds found dead in Vienna say they didn't die of bird flu as initially feared, but slammed into windows after becoming intoxicated from eating fermented berries.

The birds _ whose remains were carefully examined to ensure they were not victims of avian influenza _ had livers so diseased "they looked like they were chronic alcoholics," Sonja Wehsely, a spokeswoman for Vienna's veterinary authority, told Austrian television Thursday.

Gravatar Ever the king and queen of creativity! I will take my time scrolling through, reading people's tales. Thanks for hosting and doing such a splendid job with it.

Gravatar Very cool. What a great idea!

Gravatar I just browsed through most of these. What a great selection, and love the Birdstock suggestion and even the old ticket! You rock! Great job.

Gravatar Top issue guys. Digging that retro ticket stub.

Gravatar RD deserves all the creative credit. her idea. her prose. i'm the techie. i did the links and made the ticket thing work.

Gravatar Love the ticket! (missed the show by THAT much!) This will take more than my usual couple of minutes, so I'll hafta come over on Sat to do this post justice.

Gravatar your cleverness never ends! what a fun presentation! I mentioned you in my LJ today, but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer - so if I did something wrong, just let me know! Thanks for hosting a great Birdstock! Peace and love!

Gravatar The Woodstock framing device was, as noted numerous times above, tres groovy. Seriously nice. The links were great. I, too, just saw a Hooded merganser. I had never seen one before. The shot of the baby owls in the nest was nice too.
And that Charles fellow is certifiable. His birding adventrures make the X-games pale in comparison.

Thanks for a great job!

Gravatar Nice!

Gravatar Well, you guys did a great job. Breakfast in bed! LOL.

Gravatar What a great gift to us all! Bravo!

Gravatar you really spent some time putting this together. how cool. birds and their avid watcher fans are connected on a vibrant level. your blog entry plucked the chord sweet music.

i appreciate your efforts.

Gravatar My first night at Birdstock, I've stayed up way too late (past 2:30am) and I've only partaken of a third of the "acts". As Madeline Khan would say,"I'm pooped"! Guess I'm not the party gal I used to be.

Who knew so many could capture the beauty and allure of these creatures?

Muchas gracias for the tickets!

Gravatar What a fantastic post! Very nice!

Gravatar What a creative post! Even an audio element. I knew you all would do a fine job!
