Great presentation. Peace, love, and birds sounds good with all the war news that we get every day.
$18 for a three-day event sounds very good today, but I imagine that was relatively more expensive at the time. Any idea what that would be in 2006 dollars?

I wondered why I heard Arlo Guthrie on the traffic report this morning shouting that the NYS Thruway is closed...
Birdstock rocks! Really, I feel like I just saw Jimi playing the Star Spangled Banner.

Nice compilation of sites. I found this in the Washington post which gave me a chuckle thinking about drunk birds.
E
Birds Die From Flying 'Drunk' Into Windows
VIENNA, Austria -- Experts who conducted tests on 40 songbirds found dead in Vienna say they didn't die of bird flu as initially feared, but slammed into windows after becoming intoxicated from eating fermented berries.
The birds _ whose remains were carefully examined to ensure they were not victims of avian influenza _ had livers so diseased "they looked like they were chronic alcoholics," Sonja Wehsely, a spokeswoman for Vienna's veterinary authority, told Austrian television Thursday.

The Woodstock framing device was, as noted numerous times above, tres groovy. Seriously nice. The links were great. I, too, just saw a Hooded merganser. I had never seen one before. The shot of the baby owls in the nest was nice too.
And that Charles fellow is certifiable. His birding adventrures make the X-games pale in comparison.
Thanks for a great job!

My first night at Birdstock, I've stayed up way too late (past 2:30am) and I've only partaken of a third of the "acts". As Madeline Khan would say,"I'm pooped"! Guess I'm not the party gal I used to be.
Who knew so many could capture the beauty and allure of these creatures?
Muchas gracias for the tickets!
