Gravatar It doesn't take too much imagination to flesh out the spine and we have a mystical sky dragon out for a swim in the clear, cold sky.

Gravatar the spine of clouds is marvelous!

the rain today was so soothing it put me to sleep - more rain to come for us all next week! hope you guys have a fun weekend.

Gravatar Cool clouds. And those are big frickin' spiders. Brrrr.

Gravatar Neat sun dog there, too.

Gravatar What great pictures. The spiders! Exquisite!

Gravatar Mmmm. That's a beautiful cloud shot. But about the spiders, they were flirting? You stuck around and made sure it was love? They do look alike, but I'm not too spider savvy.

I once watched a spider plucking at another spider's web to lure it over. The web owner seemed to realize what was up and retreated in haste. Is it called cannibalism if they're both spiders but different species?

Gravatar Beautiful sky, heeby jeeby neat spiders.

Gravatar Fascinating clouds and a nice sundog.I'll go with Peacechick Mary's dragon - love that image.

Great shot of the spiders! They have legs like Black Widows, although the abdomen on the female might be a bit too small. If so, the little male ain't long for this world. Since I've been somewhat intimate with one (she bit me in a lymph node under my arm while I was sleeping), I've tried to keep a healthy distance from them.

Gravatar Those spiddly's look scary! I acknowledge their beauty - and how necessary they are to the health of any landscape - but they give me the willies. In Japan I saw huge ones called benjo spiders. Matter of fact - they are sometimes given as house-warming gifts. Their job is to eat the centipedes. It was not uncommon for me to see benjo spiders as big as my hand. Ever since I must say I tend to give spiders a wide berth!

Gravatar great pictures...that sky is amazing.

Gravatar that's cool.

Gravatar what a glorious sky image! and the two little spiders look like they are dancing midair! beautiful!
