Aw, robin I am so sorry your back is hurting. Just glad roger is such a sweetie to take care of you.

Be well soon.

I am finally recovering from a back injury I got last January, so I know how debilitating it can be. Hope yours responds quickly, and that you don't injure it again.
I love that photo; I could sit and look at that forever (preferably in person).

They say water is the new oil for the future and truly is more precious than gold because it's more necessary to life. So many places that are not really supportive of agriculture or even people living there are used because moving water from place to place but if we face major droughts, that all can change.
Sorry about your back. I did something to my knee last week; so have total sympathy. So easy to screw things up and takes so long to put them back right. Hope yours is better soon.

With empathy about your back.... You will recover, and recover completely, though it can take months. Anything to make those muscles relax (the advice to alternate the cold with heat is very good advice). And make sure you stretch your hamstrings daily! It will speed recovery.
I'm intrigued! The word "ditch" seems inadequate to describe what the photo depicts. I look forward to reading about its history, and to seeing more photos.

Sorry to hear about your back. Such a difficult thing to have. You're right to get out when you can. Movement is better than inactivity and the days of bed rest for back pain have gone by the wayside. Just DON'T OVER DO!!!
Looking forward to hearing more about the irrigation system.

Intriguing photo; lousy back! A wee dram of vino tinto is pretty good medicine, may you heal swiftly.

I'm guessing those ditches are for irrigation? You ARE in dry country after all. YES, I KNOW, even if not feeling good, one MUST get out once in a while....hope you're better.
