Brother...are you gonna love being back in England... Great post. Reminds me of Peter Mayle ('Year in Provence' fame) complaining about (English) foreigners complaining. I've been told it takes about a year to adjust to an international move ('expat syndrome'). I think I'd plan on about that long before you happily pop down to the local for a pint and a pie for lunch.
