Well, had it been Dublin you would have had me and possibly 300 other people on your sofa for the night, so count yourself lucky we got to Shannon.

The rest of the flight was uneventful by BA standards - that is we were delayed for a further 5 hours and our luggage didn't turn up.

Not too worry I would have given Father Ted's Mrs Doyle a call to rustle up some tea and sandwiches
