I'm content to wait for marriage rights. Give us the right to not be fired from our jobs for being GLBTI first. Once that's established, I think marriage equality would become an easier fight.
The Christians claimed that the amendment wouldn't affect domestic partnerships, then when it passed they took it to court to make sure that it did. Meanwhile, the state of MI is totally fucked due to the loss of high-paying manufacturing jobs.
