Gravatar Oh chocoloate is on the list, lol, something I am not eating during breastfeeding. I have big craving, and I can smell chocolate miles away, lol. Thanks for sharing this info. I used to eat lot of green peppers, just don't know what happened, celery is always on the menu, and I just love and love blue berries or any kind of berries. Thanks again Robyn, excellent info, Anna

Gravatar Jackie, it's just great to know they are good for the brain at the same time. In the research, the dark chocolate has more of these qualities than milk chocolate, though.

Gravatar Hi Robyn - I am so glad that so many of my favourite foods are on this list - especially the wine and chocolate!

Gravatar Hi Jean, I'm glad you nailed me for that because I almost put woman in brackets beside the word man. Since it was a quote I decided to leave it as is, but I would not do that a second time.

You've led me to think about posting a blog on writing inclusively and how that affects the brain of the audience.

Thanks so much for your visit, Jean, and I'd welcome you back anytime.

Gravatar Great post except for the line, "The brain is the man." After I drew the picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/818...N07/2764052220/ I think of my brain as feminine.

Gravatar Wow, Brad, thanks for sharing this extra bonus about celery. Gives me extra reason to head to the veggie bowl!

Gravatar Robyn, thank you for the nutritional tips. I love hearing new reasons to eat foods that are good for me. Maybe this is another one. My daughters have been talking about celery as a negative calorie food. Apparently you burn more calories eating celery than is contained in the celery itself.
