Gravatar Bob, I had no idea yesterday where the challenge would take me. The ideas jelled when I realized Carl Helbig is a leader who is not held back by sticking to comfort zones.

Just curious, Bob, is the Middle Zone a Comfort Zone?

Hmmmm...

Gravatar Hi Brad, I also share your concern. But, when I went back to look at the paper, the story on the left side of the paper, "Blogging: The fifth estate?" was obviously opinion. I speculate the location on the front page is because it's a hot topic that hit national news. The lead story on the right definitely informed readers about a local soldier seriously wounded in Iraq. It takes a savvy reader to distinguish.

Do you sense that is also the case with blogs? Some are informative and others are opinionated.

Gravatar Todd, thanks for stopping by.

Gravatar Priscilla, thanks for choosing me. Other than being called "Rockin" Robyn" when younger, this is the closest I've come to that lately.

Gravatar Robyn, thanks for reminding me of the "two-footed questions" - it prompted tomorrow's post. Thanks for taking up the challenge!

Gravatar Hi Robyn, Love the idea of international news coverage--when I go to Border's and flip through the foreign newspapers, I realize there's an enormous world out there I'm not even aware of. Point #5 concerns me. Do the writers identify opinion as opinion and fact as fact? I think our news coverage is way too biased. If facts and opinion blend, how can you rely on the accuracy of the information you're reading? That question has been bothering me for a long time.
