Thanks, Yvonne. I'm fascinated about what researchers are learning about the brain and how we can benefit from it.
And, I look forward to learning more from you, too.

Yvonne, thanks so much. It was interesting to think about numerics through your lenses. We gain new insights all the time... and it's fun to explore them.
I enjoyed your blog and I've just added you to my blog roll so I can easily come to visit and see other topics you're exploring.

Hi Robyn
This is very informative and interesting.
Ellen mentioned "numerical framework" which made me think about how thinking of e.g. 7 tips provides its own structure.
It's been a while since I explored multiple intelligences. You've inspired me to challenge myself and stretch a little... should be fun.
I enjoy your blog.

Joanna, I saw brilliance in the way you launched by saying that writing with numbers isn't merely writing a list. You push us to extend ideas to a paragraph or even a sentence.
Prime numbers are complete so they seemingly bring a satisfying closure. I enjoyed the way you toyed with ideas surrounding the "prime."
Your high organizational skills, one of the facets of logical-mathematical intelligence, show in your writing.
Thanks for this challenge, Joanna, since I explored numbers, the brain and writing in a way that I might not otherwise. Great question as always!
Now for the next from your very inquisitive mind...

Robyn, this is fascinating, and thank you for answering my question so fully!
For me it feels like the mix of the challenge (and the sense of pleasure my brain is getting from responding to it) and using the numerical framework (like Ellen mentions) to structure my thoughts.
I wouldn't normally have thought of myself as being at all strong in that area, but perhaps what I'm doing (without realising it) is using a different intelligence to release ideas and material.
I'm going to have to rise to your challenge now and try 'blogging through a different intelligence'. Who knows what might happen!
Joanna
PS Your musical references at the beginning and the end of the piece are also fascinating to me. I keep on picking up signals about the interplay between writing and music, but I need more time (or more wine!) to explore them

Interestingly enough, Ellen, I brainstormed to develop the points I wanted to address to answer Joanna's question. So I used bold words to highlight main topics.
If ever I have a braincramp when I think of a topic, I tap into other intelligences to unlock it. That tactic loosens any locking I may have experienced.
Thanks for your answer and question, too!

Great post and thanks for including my 2-bits Robyn! As to your question, people who are mathematically stronger than me would be guided by numbers far more than I am.
Having said that, yes, I tend to think at times numerically - and when that happens I write from the numerical frameworks. I may think of ten items, for instance.
When guided by other intelligences ... I could end up with any number of ideas -- or none at all You?
