Gravatar I loved to take a bike ride.

A hard, fast hour or even an easier but heart pumping spin. My brain shifts completely to the riding....nothing can beat it.

Gravatar Geology Joe, there is a lovely bike path near a canal not far away from where I work. I've thought about getting a bike, though I currently walk the path. You inspire me to give biking a try. Pumping the pedals and enjoying the scenery would certainly bring a new energy to a day and cut down on stressors!

Thanks for stopping by.

Gravatar Robyn - in a short while I am going out for a round of "virtual" golf ( it's in a simultator in the city centre!) so if it goes wrong, like it sometimes does, although I like this guy's style I will hold back on my urges!Looks like he was on a nice links course. Like you playing a game switches my mind . However the challenge I then have is that I get so hooked on my game time runs away with me and I have heaped a whole load of new pressure on ...

Gravatar Hi Jackie, I can't imagine a good game of virtual golf going wrong for you! What's your favorite course?

Just seeing the virtual courses is enough for me when there's a foot of snow in the yard.

Getting hooked on the game is kind of a problem for me in real life. Lot's of times I come up with solutions for work problems right on the course. So the golf clears my brain and brings solutions both... but, hey, life is real and now and again I have a bad shot, but consistency is improving.

Gravatar My time on the golf simulator was fun - we chose the Old Course at St Andrews. Well a girl can dream can't she?Unless something changes in the quality of my game dramatically it will be the closest I get to the real thing! Although we were having a laugh while playing my friend and I were encouraged by some reasonable shots - the good part is that you can cancel it on the screen and play again without penalty - if cheating is your thing ( which it was for us!!)
The weather has turned really warm here now so I should really dust my clubs off and get out there on a real course.

Gravatar Jackie, St. Andrews would be a dream. Guess you would enjoy the fact that you could redo penalty shots. The virtual golf here doesn't have that option... Glad to hear you had such a great day!

I've been out on the course here three or four times and I had a few really good shots and...

But the good shots keep me coming back for more.

Gravatar I don't enjoy Quiddler (it's too hard for my brain!) But I love Set! In fact I find it fun to try Set when I first wake up and then later after one cup of coffee has kicked in. It's almost like I can feel my brain turn on and start whirling.
Chris

Gravatar Wow, this certainly brings out the difference in our brains. I score high on verbal linguistic intelligence so the work game is a lovely challenge. But to play it, you really need more than one person. That must be the beauty of Set to play solo. I have it and have tried to get up to speed, but it just doesn't challenge me as thoroughly as Quiddler.
