Gravatar Hi Tammy, thanks for adding info about folks tagged as perceivers. Do you senes that artists might take this to another level because they "see" in a more focused way? My sense is that they look closely at gestures.

Stay tuned on this because I'm adding another piece which highlights how the left side of the brain operates.

Gravatar Very much enjoyed your post on intuition - While I agree somewhat with your first poster here (reading body language), I think that's for the folks who are perceivers (Myers-Briggs). I think the intuitives actually do get "vibes" (can't think of what else to call it).

Tagged you today.

Gravatar I'll be looking forward to it, Robyn!

Gravatar Interesting, Jeanne. I know when I took tests and was not sure of an answer, if I trusted my hunch, and didn't talk myself out of it, my chances of getting it right were better. There are times when it's truly important to consider logic along with a first impression though, and I'll be exploring that next.

Gravatar Though I tend to be left-brain dominant, I've had a number of experiences where I've felt that I should go with a certain course of action (for no known reason), acted otherwise, and later learned that my first intuition had been correct. Lately, I'm beginning to learn to pay a little more attention to my right brain--and this is a good thing!

Thanks for an enlightening post!

Gravatar Tara, your point about body language rings true because it shows people's feelings in ways that words do not. Our subconscious definitely takes in body language though we may not be aware of it as you say. I appreciate your additions because they help us see another aspect of this.

Gravatar I am a firm believer in intuition. On a couple of occassions I have ignored what my intuition was telling me and regretted it. On one occassion I took a job which on the surface looked good but my subconscious said don't do it, I hated it.

My guess is that intuition regarding people comes from body language etc, and that even if we are not totally aware of it our subconscious is.
