Matthew, Ellen stretches my thinking in many areas. Her ideas often lead others to do a double-take because they're novel.
The opportunity to converse with her is an 'intellectual' conversation. She never fails to make you see something afresh or differently.
A gem indeed, Matthew.

Nice! I call folks like Ellen the "epic characters" in my life, and I always have an eye open when I meet one.
Sounds like she's in that rare 20% (or 10%) category of acquaintances that stimulate thinking far in excess of the time spent together... In other words, a gem!

Carma, your grandmother showed much wisdom in her advice to, "use your smarts." It would be interesting to know how you followed it.

Hi Robyn, thanks for passing on this wealth of information. I liked the question "How are you smart?" We all have some smarts in us. My grandmother used to tell me "use your smarts".

Bob, you simply primed my "juices" with your challenge... I found creativity to put this piece together that's quite the opposite of boredom you felt this a.m.

Hi Robyn! Great tribute to Ellen. Sounds like a fun place to work!
I especially like your first point, and try to make that one my own every day...
Thanks for jumping in this time!
