I realized the truth of the research, Mike, in my own case. It's very provocative, and elusive to create a logo that packs so much into so little. It takes a real artist, that's for sure!
Creating stirs my spirit daily, Mike! Hope you're on an adventure to reach your dreams, too.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, Anna, just looking at the Nike or Adidas logos makes me want to put on my sneakers and go for a brisk walk.
I love people who capture photos that are unique and different - out of the ordinary. You often do that and that's why I enjoy the work you do so very much.
Hmmm, now what would work for a simple logo that stimulates that idea in others every time they see it?

What a provocative post! Thanks for putting it out there.
I agree with Anna above when she says,"of all logos out there, the most popular are the simplest ones".
Of course, simple does not mean simplistic. They are a challenge to create.
Thanks for stirring things up inside my noggin.
Keep creating...your wildest dreams,
Mike

Robyn, my fav logo of all times, addidas, lol. The interesting part of all logos out there, the most popular are the simplest one, lol, like nike, or apple as you shown. However, these are the hardest to come up with too. Grea post, now you got me thinking too, may be I should have myonlyphoto log one day, but I am scared to start, because I will never finish, lol. Thanks for sharing again, Anna :0

Brad, that means a lot coming from you since you "love" words and you know the impact logos may have connected to sales.
Quite frankly I had an Apple Computer that I absolutely adored because it was simple and the graphical qualities were outstanding. Their iMovie software was one the best for editing and adding creative elements to movie clips. I gave it up because the site where I worked required a PC and I could not access with my MAC. This blog leads me to think my next computer may be an Apple product. I love the creative elements, but that is my perceiption....

If I could start over, I'd incorporate an image in my logo, for the very reasons you describe, Robyn. Even though certain logos without graphical elements are widely recognized(for instance 3M, Walgreens, images create more powerful emotional connections than words alone.
