Yeah, so long as no one actually asks them, "how"?

Oh, and I didn't miss the inherent contradiction that Greens policies are entirely job-destroying, re ETS, anti-coal, anti-logging, anti-mine, anti-development, anti-dam, anti-progress, anti-free market. I meant it as taking the challenge up to them, whereupon they'll scratch their head and murmur something vague that trails off.

Gravatar "While we're on the subject of climate change protesters and socialism; - it's definitely a middle class WASP thing, isn't it? For groups who are so huge on "DIVERSITY!! woot wooo!!" that picture is one whitebread mini-mass of inner-urban groupthinkdom."

I may have posted this before but I have a book published by the SMH called "The Big Picture" it's actually a good collection of historical photos (I don't like my money going to SMH so they have to be good!)however on the back inside cover you have a 2 page spread of the SMH staff and there must be 100 people involved. My God!! I have never see such a homogeneous Upper Middle Class inner city group of Anglo Aussies to make up a work place anywhere, I looked closely and found maybe 2 Asian faces.

Gravatar i recently posted a dry variation of parkinson's law which i may now formally post as saltation's law:

parasites expand to fill the niche available.

Gravatar ian: yup. wait till you meet a mob of bbc or guardian staff.

totally "right on". yet, somehow, not quite able to bring themselves to hire people not PLU.

Saltation | 06.15.09 - 10:34 am | #

Gravatar saltation's law has derivatives like: bureaucracy expands to fill revenue: and, NGOs expand to fill what bureaucracy doesn't.

Gravatar I'm impressed there were no "Free Palestine" posters this time...

Also, the placard at the front claims that Australia is the world's largest emitter, per capita of carbon dioxide. This is an absolute falsehood according to Wikipedia's list of countries by carbon dioxide emissions.

What's the bet that placard will multiply at future demos?

Gravatar Sorry, my previous link wasn't to the figures per capita, which are here and even more damning of that claim.

We are ranking behind Trinidad and Tobago for pete's sake. Come on Australia, we can do much better!
