Looking at this tragedy in perspective, I think the Democrat's called their local Democratic Governor of Louisiana and said don't move into New Orleans to quick with aid to make Bush look bad... Sheehan had lost a lot of press due to this hurricane, and we want to keep the Bush ratings down (even if it cost lives)... I noticed as soon as Bush showed up, things got done down there... This televised hoopla from Kanye West is just more politics in play, at the expense of the disaster victims... |

I think this whole Kayne West thing has gone to far. In terms of calling him ignorant is proposterous. First of all, I think we all got the message in what Mr. West was trying to say. Im the past years, I have yet to hear anything about President Bush trying to help the black community in any way. Black community need funding for new homes--better homes. We need new books for the black students to get the most out of their education. We need more money for the teachers that teach in low income communities so that they can stay and teach the children. Some people like to say that the black people get their start on the road to drugs, violence and jail as children, however if we don't have the fundementals for keeping our children on the right path, how can you expect change? It sickens me that this is the country that we live in. I'm tired, for one thing, that for centries, American Presidents haven't tried to make America a better place to live for everyone. They only make it better for people like them. What has this country come to? Land of the Free and the home of The Brave--give me a break. I strongly suggest that Congress should rewrite that to Land of the Priviledged and Home of the People in Power. |

And I also get what "Mr. West" was trying to do--hijack a Red Cross show, instead of buying his own time to rattle his incoherent, conspiaritorial mouth. |

Is it any surprise the first to bring up race is well, blacks? Folks in Mississippi and Alabama lost much more yet they're not playing the race card. |
