And I'll go ahead and elaborate as to why.
Bob Woodruff gleefully fomented the falsehoods in New Orleans. And he's done his dead-level best to undermine the Iraq war effort.
Hey Bob, sure, it sucks to have an IED blow you up. It also sucks that you prefer to pave the way for these animals to do it to my children. At least those around you were blown up for a pure, unadulterated motive--plus they actually hope America emerges victorious.
So in the big picture, if Bob Woodruff prefers to be part of a mechanism that cheers our enemies, then he can also swallow a little teasing at the expense of injuries that are NO LONGER LIFE THREATENING TO HIM.
Once I saw the reports saying he was out of the woods, he became open season. And so do his pathological sympathies(which is what I actually lampooned if you were paying attention). This is the game he has chosen to play. So I play along too. If some of you don't like it, then read Jeffy from Family Circle, and ignore my death-rattling blog.
Incidentally, I also thought many of the Cheney jokes were appropriate--after we all knew his friend left the hospital.
But on the level, Woodruff is part of the machine that endangers my family, ultimately, in my opinion, because he is part of the opinion-shaping arm of the press.
It was Bob Woodruff that had his camera man panning in on some poor, dead soul in a wheelchair, hour after hour, after bleeding hour, asking us where George Bush was to be found--edging the notion of Bush's supposed hatred for blacks down the credibility pike. But when his little white keyster goes on a respirator a couple of days, I'm supposed to become all-of-suddent reverential and introspective?
Nope. My point is simple: IED Will Not Make Bob Woodruff Think Al Qeida Bad.
