Hi ! I was at the concert too and really enjoyed it much. What I did mostly appreciate is that, in my opinion, songs from his last albums were sounding ten times better live than they do on record, especially "Because her beauty..." and the cover of "Here it is".
I thought they were just OK when I first heard them but this night they were just gorgeous. Jonathan was looking great and the all show was great too.
Therefore, a very nice evening.
Patrick, I was there too so thanks for the review. I have to say that I really liked Suzanne, I don't know if I would ever have listened to her but I thought that she did well and German folk (type) music is not something I've really heard before.
She looked a bit upset when she said that Jonathan had told her that she couldn't open for him in London which was a shame as at that show there was no opening act at all.
Great review Patrick, very lively, I wish I could have make it to attend the show but I missed it this time. and it would have been nice to meet again Emmanuel who like Dom is a true faithful follower. Oh well, next time..

Hi there... just discovering your Jojoblog and it's great ! Thanks for your post on this parisian show at the Nouveau Casino. I was there and I loved it so much... as everybody else, I think. I'd also like to say that I really appreciate Jonathan's french, spanish and italian songs - but I'm french ! I'm specially found of "Les Etoiles"... Of course, when he sings Charles Trenet, it's beautiful... And don't forget : Give Paris one more chance !

Well, the word is "the bird" or isn't it rather "the bird is the word" (ahahah sorry I'm a Cramps fan too - and by the way, the Trashmen, the authors of "Surfin' Bird" are playing near Paris end of June, wow).

I think that those private shows often have something that official don't (removing the comments in between songs ...). And of vourse they help re-living the emotions that you got during the show.
